Maureens Kitchen in Smitdtown

Maureen's Kitchen is one of those rare restaurants that makes you want to return daily. Our group of 10 had to wait approximately 20 minutes for a table which isn't bad given we didn't make reservations and went during a peak time. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and was pleasantly surprised with the portion size. The burger was cooked exactly as ordered and the bacon was thick and full of flavor. Everyone at our table enjoyed their food and excellent service by the wait staff. Great job to everyone at Maureen's Kitchen.

The food is insane here. Had an early business meeting and instead of meeting at a boring diner i said lets go to Maureen’s!! I ordered some blueberry stuffed french toast which was absolutely delicious. The service was great too as usual. I don’t come often but couldn’t pass up on the opportunity. If you haven’t ever been here, you must experience it at least once!

Awesome, delicious food. Theres usually a small wait but it's totally worth it. Cash only so be prepared but it's a great spot to bring guests. We always stop by when we are home. They always have specials not on the menu. Try the pistachio pancakes!

Country style omelette Yummy. What a treat and sausage gravy over tea biscuits with. With 2 eggs. Absolutely amazing. Waiter Jerry was the best.

I was a customer in the late 80’s and unfortunately move out of town and haven’t been back until I recently stumbled upon the “new”? and much larger location. Well I love it then and had to try it again. What a pleasant surprise to see the overwhelming success and continued great food and service that I fondly remembered. The staff is genuinely polite and efficient. The food is unmatched and the active atmosphere ads to an enjoyable experience on every visit. I brought friends back to experience Maureen’s and will be making the trip back many more times.

Visiting here is like a visit to your own Grandma's kitchen. Probably the most famous breakfast Diner in Suffolk County, and its reputation is well earned. Breakfast is served all day as well as a lunch menu, but honestly breakfast is where it's at here. The food is delicious, the staff very friendly, prices slightly higher than your average Diner (but won't break the bank), and the decor brings a smile to your face especially if you like cows. My only complaint is that this is a cash only establishment, although the CVS across the street does have an ATM if you forget.

I get to eat here a lot since I work nearby. I must say their customer service is always great and they keep the place neat constantly. Pricing is reasonable and they serve generous portions.

Home cooking gone level up.... Authentic & Fresh.. Great place for Brunch... Amazing Staff... Always busy so prepare yourself waiting for the table... but its worth the wait !!

We always enjoy their food, but it is very pricey. They also only accept cash, which is absurd given the pricing. Our waitress got annoyed with us that we stayed and chatted for 10 minutes after food was eaten, yet there was no line. We sat outside under the tent and it smelled like a cesspool.

Will definitely NEVER EAT HERE again. Carolyn refuses to wear a mask while working to protect their customer's health.

ALWAYS delicious. Love sitting at the counter. The staff treats you like family and is always quick and efficient. Don't let the wait bother you, the food and the atmosphere make it well worth it and it usually moves quickly.

Food is really good and the second you walk in, you get a homey type feeling which is great. Unfortunately, Maureen's doesn't have as much variety or uniqueness (food wise) compared to other brunch spots out here in Suffolk County, but their simpler foods definitely outshine the other spots. Other than food, I wish there was better service. I have met non friendly and very MIA waitresses here on numerous occasions as I'm a local and have been coming here for God knows how many years. But the food and atmosphere make up for it.

I love coming to Maureen's Kitchen every few months. Great traditional comfort food with some twists. Quality is always outstanding and prices are comparable to IHOP but way tastier.Usually a wait if you come mid-morning on a weekend. Worst wait times are for Sunday brunch. Staff is always super friendly and accommodating.Cash only.

Phenomenal place for breakfast. Very wide selection of omelettes and pancakes. We had the prosciutto, spinach and Asiago omelette, which was excellently prepared with very thin layers and cooked to perfection. We also had the banana nut pancakes, which were soft and warm with bananas throughout.

Walked in and we were immediately greeted and sat within the minute. Kim our server was great, and our food was fast and delicious. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because they don't take credit cards but overall we were happy.

#1 breakfast on Long Island. It’s official. Get there early Saturday if you don’t want to wait. A continual daily menu with numerous choices, creative creations. Everything is yummy, breakfast or dinner. And a lovely counter where you can sit and watch the cooks, if you like. 🥐

Outside dining well spaced. Same great food and service. Don't forget, cash only.

This cow themed kitchen is mooooocho great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have plenty of seating for families or friends who like to eat at the counter as they watch their food being prepared in the bird’s eye view chair. The staff is friendly and ask them for the specials. I got two eggs scrambled, just the way I like them, which already comes with toast and crispy fresh made home fries. I loved every bite.

We ate breakfast here this past Saturday.The ommlettes were very good.The part we didn't like is that coffee is $3.25 a cup.That is a bit overpriced and the fact that it is cash only.If you are doing cash only then you the business owner is benefiting from that, pass some of that savings to the customer.You really should accept a debit or credit card it is 2020.Also note that while eating outside we kept getting a very strong smell of cesspool that was a turn off as well.It was our first and last time eating here because we do better at the diner.

The place was packed but after 15 minutes I was sitting down at the bar. Service was right on the money. The inside has country store retro with cow print vibe to it. I had a short stack of pancakes with a side of bacon and 2 over medium eggs, $13. It was the best breakfast I've had in years, will definitely be going back.

One of the best places for breakfast period. The key part is the service and the freshness of the food. You can actually taste the difference of fresh bread .It tend to get very busy after 8 am so try to get early to avoid the crowds . The prices are good and the selection can accommodate pretty much everybody.

First of all this place looked packed. Was unsure about waiting thinking it would take too long, but it didn't. They were very quick to get us in. The service is great. Very attentive. The food was very good. I got a greek omelette and it was perfect. My friend got pancakes and she loved them. Great spot for breakfast.

Our waitress, Nancy was such a sweetheart. She also helped me find vegetarian options. Everything tastes extremely fresh and flavorful! On top of that the atmosphere has a home-y feel but classy and clean at the same time! Highly recommend. NOT OVERPRICED at all which was also really awesome! :)

This has to be the worst restaurant experience i had by far. The food was good but the service sucked and it was overpriced. The waitresses were inattentive and they have no on site atm despite being cash only. The drinks are non-refillable And the food took forever to come out so midway through our meal, the drinks were warm. Supposedly this place was top rated, unfortunately I Will not be coming back.

Being busy during the week easily helps to demonstrate the quality of an eatery. Typical NY prices and large portions so it's easily justifiable, see attached for Apple stuffed French toast and a blueberry short stack. Food was fantastic. People complaining about wait time or cash only... go somewhere else or plan ahead a little bit. Highly recommend.

Never disappointed when I come here! A great local spot on Long Island. Be prepared to wait a bit and bring cash. It's well worth the trip!

Place is ok but definitely would not go back again. I do not think it was worth the hype. Wait wasn’t long and the wait for food was very short. The food was ok except for the fact that I found a hair inside it. Menu is creative and different. The coffee was the worst thing I had there. This coffee might be the worst coffee I have ever drank in my whole life. Personally I hate strong coffee so maybe that’s why it wasn’t for me. It also was very watered down and no matter how much milk or creamer you put in it, it did not help. The service is good as well. Overall I’m not really impressed and I don’t think I would go back. I honestly think I would have been better of spending less money by going to a diner than going there.

Old school charm,the building and the staff. Cow memorabilia everywhere. Even a Harley Davidson Springer Cow Harley. Long wait is usually expected but that's because it's the food is so good. Only downside is cash only. Place is always packed. It's a cash cow.

Excellent customer service! Ordered a whole apple crumb pie (the best) & it was still on oven when I got there. I was offered food, drink while I waited and then the took off $5 & had someone carry it to my car.

Food is good but not that awesome as I expected, but still probably one of the best breakfast place in Suffolk county. A little bit pricey but affordable. Cash only is kind of annoying. This is a sweet and creamy breakfast place. If you like sweets, come here. Portion is huge.

Small restaurant and we waited about 15 minutes to get a table (not bad). A lot of options and what we had was amazing. I had the corned beef and pastrami on rye, my wife had the potato, scallion and bacon omelette, my kids had a bacon cheeseburger, a turkey club and a split pea soup and we ordered the pistachio pancakes for the table... delicious!I came wait to go back.

It was ok. I had French toast it was very dry. Tasted like frozen not fresh. Wife had blueberry pancakes she liked them. Breakfast was 40 dollars plus tip. Cash only No credit cards

This is a great place for breakfast either by yourself or for the family. Great food and staff makes this place nearly unbeatable for breakfast. Place is always packed because of their quality service and food. Definitely deserves 5 stars. They have a diverse amount of food for pancake and egg lovers and can customize your own pancake to your liking.
